Installation of WFilterROS

This document describes installation and getting started steps of WFilterROS.

WFilterROS can be installed in a x86 PC, or in a virtual machine. Before installation, you need to choose a proper deployment mode. WFilter can act as a gateway or a network bridge.

Deployment Options:

• WFilterROS as a network gateway, a replacement of current gateway.
• WFilterROS as a network bridge, which bridged between current gateway and switch.
• For pass-by deployment, please check our WFilter Enterprise.
• WFilterROS in a virtual machine shall work in "gateway" mode.
